Sam and Freddie’s Monumental Lip Lock
Ladies and gentlemen, I feel like I’ve won the SEDDIE LOTTERY.
They said it wouldn’t happen. Or if it did, not so damn early in the series. So nanner nanner big raspberry to the Debbie Downers aka non-Seddie shippers, because the dreams of every ardent Seddie fan are finally becoming a reality.
Blessed be the Technicolor tween magazines. Tiger Beat has dished on an upcoming Seddierific episode (not “iReunite w/Missy” as it turns out) where Sam and Freddie get down and dirty. I mean, where they share a nice age appropriate kiss. If you haven’t seen the scans, click on the links below provided by the absolutely wonderful ColorsofTheSky101. The headline, “Our First Kiss”–with “Kiss” appropriately in large hot pink font–had me thinking this was the deed of some crafty Photoshopper. Then it started to sink in. Before I could get through the first sentence, I was running away from my computer and SKIPPING through the kitchen, alternating between gasps of, “Ohmygod, ohmygod” and glass-shattering shrieks. Thank goodness no one was home. You know when you take a bite of a sundae, and it’s soooooo good that it’s almost too much? Yeah, that’s me and these scans. I needed to take them in increments, stopping to do the ole skip-n-scream every few seconds.
Not me, but pretty much what I looked like.
Jennette and I are simpatico. Actually, Jennette and the rest of Seddie fandom are simpatico. I love how she was “freaking out” when she got to the last page of the “iKiss” script because it pretty much sums up the current mood of Seddie fandom. I also like how Nathan says, “We’re going to kiss each other but we’re arguing while we do it.” Perfect. Exactly the way I imagined it to be. Except, judging by the screen capture above, when it’s time for the actual lip lock, all arguments cease. And that bring me to my last favorite part of the interview; Nathan calls it “a tender scene showing [Sam and Freddie's] vulnerability to each other”. Time for the collective awwwww. Yes, this is why Seddie is so fan-freakin’-tastic. You’ve got two social misfits coming together and evolving. Plus it’s just so darn cute.
Sam looks a little startled. Perhaps she’s shocked to realize Freddie is indeed one sexy beast.
How uncanny! SarcasticLeaves predicted the way it would all go down.
Now it’s time to muse about the specifics. How long? Will there be an annoying “ooooooo” from the “audience”? Will Sam close her eyes as she gets into it? Judging by the pic, it all looks pretty chaste. Not a French kiss by any means. Kind of reminds me of Corey and Topanga’s first kiss. (That’s a Boy Meets World reference for all you younguns’.) In fact, Corey had the same open-eyed, startled expression Sam seems to have. And if you watched Boy Meets World, you know how their relationship turned out. Wedding bells, anyone?
Oh, almost forgot. After reading the article a second time, I had a big chuckle over this:

It may be rude, but does anyone else have the sudden urge to yell “In your face, Creddie shippers!”. Sorry, I know that’s kind of mean, but come on! FINALLY! =]

And Boy Meets World? The two of them are like the flip/flopped version of Seddie. And that just makes me even happier. YAY!

this is incredibly cute. What worries me is that, from the way they speak about the kiss in the interview..i don’t think their relationship will go any farther than that…but at this point, whether the relationship is pursued in that direction or not…whats the episode after this going to be like? AWWKKWAAARDDD. but im so excited!

This is awesome! I hope they keep this going. Though it said in that interview that they were making it like they were friends..which would suck. I hope they really do this well and have be more romantic than it sounds. If they write off their relationship after this I would totally rant and rave.
Yay! I saw this the other day and if u look on the ep discription it says that when they pull away they say “Wow” and kis eachother again. But one thing does spark my curiousity. Freddie says he never kissed anyone but what about that girl that was using him to destroy iCarly. we saw her kiss him. Maybe he doesn’t cound that as a real kiss or something.

I’m not sure what Jennette’s criteria for a REAL kiss might be, but technically she has kissed Paul Butcher and Sean Flynn, in the Zoey 101 episode “Bad Girl”. So there must be something special about this kiss, something more than just a quick peck.

Yeah, you basically got down my reaction to a T. Although I’m hoping that they don’t get all romantic on us, it’s too soon! It can just sort of…. be there, for a while. In forty episodes for a season, a lot can happen.
As for the Boy Meets World comparison? I see it and I don’t. Topanga is sort of like a Freddie Sam combo and Corey was *far* too normal to be like anyone on iCarly. You want old school comparisons, I give you Big Pete and Ellen from the Adventures of Pete & Pete. That relationship was sort of tossed around occasionally, and never very resolved, but consider: Pete’s totally weirdo family, his propensity for removing clothing and getting his hands dirty, going totally nuts to accomplish something, and general adolescent malaise. Ellen’s obsessive hardworking personality, her nitpicking and need for perfection, her complete joy in getting something exactly right, the extremely close and loving relationship with her single father. Now *that* is Seddie with genders flipped. There’s a reason why Pete & Pete and iCarly are my two favorite nick shows of all time.
And hyperactivecheskie, I’m too concerned with staying in canon and in character to write anything *before* this episode comes out, but after? Oh, we shall see…
OMG I was so frikin excited when I saw the commercial and I ran as fast as I could upstairs and get on this website and have proof and here it is and I’m so happy and I cannot wait until January 3 and I feel like it’s to far away and I seriously can’t believe that they made a Seddie video and I wonder what happens after this show are they going to keep the relationship because if you’ve watched That’s So Raven they had Raven and Eddie get together and I should totally stop writing now.

I so knew from the very beginning of iCarly that Sam and Freddie would fall in love. I also knew that in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. I knew Moze and Ned would get together from the very start. I think I have ESPN! This may be completely random but I’ve spotted a shriek-worthy Seddie moment. This is in the iWill Date Freddie episode when Seddie are hugging at the end, as Sam gives him a wedgie, Freddie yells in pain but leaves a lingering hand on Sam’s waist. OMG! Once I saw the “Kisses & Misses” Commercial on Nick, i was like…”Oh, My, GOD!” lol I went straight to the computer and screamed for like a minute straight! I was sooo happy!
I hope that they don’t just ignore the kiss in future episodes, it’s not like Dan to do that! I mean…think of Zoey 101! with Quinn and Logan kiss….lol
